Consulting
Engineering That Ships
I work with manufacturers, machinists, and technical teams to automate what should be automated, build what needs to be built, and document what keeps getting lost.
Not theoretical advice. Actual deliverables — code, programs, systems, docs — from someone who's done the field work.
Service Tiers
Automation Audit
Understand your current state before you change anything.
A structured review of your current automation setup, workflows, and tooling. Identifies bottlenecks, redundant processes, and opportunities for improvement. Delivered as a prioritised written report.
Ideal for: Small manufacturers, tradespeople, or teams who know something is wrong but aren't sure where to start.
Integration Sprint
Fix the specific problem. Ship something that works.
Scoped, time-boxed delivery. You define the outcome — an automation script, a data pipeline, a CNC program, a connected system — and I build it. Fixed quote, clear deliverables, full handover documentation.
Ideal for: Teams with a specific technical problem and a defined output in mind.
Ongoing Retainer
Engineering capacity on tap.
A set number of hours per week or month for continuous automation, scripting, CNC, or technical documentation work. Best for growing businesses that need engineering capacity without a full hire.
Ideal for: Businesses with ongoing technical needs across multiple projects.

How It Works
You reach out
Send a message with a brief description. No forms, no automated funnels.
We scope it
Short call or email exchange to agree deliverables, timeline, and rate.
I build it
Actual work, with regular check-ins if needed.
You own it
Handover includes documentation so you can maintain it yourself.
Common Questions
Do you work remotely or on-site?
Both. Documentation, scripting, and software work is remote. Machine commissioning, CAD/CAM for bespoke work, and on-site diagnostics require physical presence. I'm based in Perth, WA — regional or interstate travel is possible for larger scopes.
How long does a typical project take?
An audit typically takes 3–5 business days after the discovery session. A defined sprint depends on scope — most are 1–3 weeks. We'll agree on timeline before work starts.
Do you work with small businesses or solo operators?
Yes. Some of the most interesting work I've done has been with small shops and sole traders who need real engineering results without enterprise overhead.
What if I'm not sure what I need?
Start with the Automation Audit. It's designed to give you a clear picture and a prioritised action plan — even if you end up doing the work yourself or with a different contractor.
What industries do you work in?
Manufacturing, machining, fabrication, and field service are where most of my experience sits. But automation problems are broadly similar across industries — scripting, data, and process improvement work translates well.
